School started a couple of weeks ago, and that, for me, means seminary. I have seminary every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Double classes on Wednesdays and Fridays. This schedule works better for me, as I'm home schooled and have to drive for thirty minutes to get to the high school and seminary buildings. Last year we had to drive up there every day. It was pretty hard to get up every morning, get ready, and leave. It made it hard to do everything else as it took about two and a half hours out of my mornings. Not to mention the money for the gas we spent every day. It almost made me hate seminary, which is sad, because I would otherwise have absolutely loved it.
This is much better, and I'm glad I decided to listen to the prophet and take seminary. I'm glad I did last year too, but it's easier to be glad about it this year as I don't have to sacrifice so much. I have a great teacher this year, although last year I had the teacher that everyone(including myself) says can't be beat. This years teacher is pretty close to that good. It's easy to see that he has a testimony of what he teaches and that he's happy to share it. That attitude is what stimulates us, the students, to get into it and be happy to be learning it. Not like those teachers who would clearly rather be in bed and who just droll on without interest or any personality whatsoever. They make me wish I were back in bed as well.
Anyway, I really do love seminary, you study the scriptures in such depth that you can't help but come to appreciate them. This year we are studying the old testament(OT), which is good for me because there is a lot I don't know about it. I am less familiar with the Bible than the other standard works as I have never actually read that one. I've read the 'Book of Mormon' and 'Doctrine and Covenants'. Today we started trying to learn all of the books in the OT, which is going to difficult as there are 39 of them. You can remember that easily because there are 3 letters in the word old, and 9 letters in the word testament,3-9 or 39(nifty huh). There is a primary song we are trying to learn that helps you remember what all of the books in the OT are. It's a pretty corny little song and it goes so fast that so far we just listen to the cd and Brother Maxfield sings it.
So I'm really glad to be in seminary, and my two goals for it are to #1 get perfect grades, and #2 learn to like the old testament.

I'm glad that it's only three days a week. It makes it so much easier. It got so hard last year having to run to Price every day.
I'm also glad that you're studying the Old Testiment. It's the one book from the standard works that I have the hardest time with and know the least about. It's good knowledge for you to have.
(This is Cheyenne. Hi Tiffy!)
Hi Tiff, bye Tiff. This is Chey.
I used to love Seminary too. I'm glad you are enjoying it this year.
