This is part of an email my friend sent me (thanks Christie!), I thought it was very beautiful and thought provoking.
The Greatest Man in History Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master. Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him.. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. I feel honored to serve such a Leader who loves us!
He is the greatest thing that I am grateful for. Without his sacrifice, the Atonement, none of the other things that I am grateful for would matter. They would all just be taken away at the close of this life. Without the great Atonement, I would not be able to repent of my sins and be cleansed from them. And because he was the only perfect man ever to live upon the earth, he would be the only one left in the celestial kingdom after all is done. Because no imperfect thing can abide the presence of God. Without the Atonement, we would not be able to return back to our Fathers presence. We could never be redeemed of even the smallest sin. It wouldn't matter how hard we try to be righteous, because we are not perfect, and at some point we all sin. We would all end up spiritually dead in the end.
Without him, there would be no eternal family's, only temporary ones (that sounds awful!). Our abundant opportunity's to get a full education wouldn't matter, because we wouldn't be able to progress after this life anyway. This beautiful earth we live on wouldn't matter anymore, because we would all end up in the same endless misery. Our testimony's wouldn't, because even if we would believed and loved God with all our hearts, we couldn't return to him. Our lives wouldn't matter, because they would have no purpose. Nothing would matter anymore, the whole pan of salvation would be pointless. In fact, it wouldn't be a plan of salvation at all, because Christ is the one who gives us salvation, through the atonement. Life would be blank, empty, fruitless.
For this reason, I must express my EXTREME GRATITUDE for my Father in Heaven and the plan he has for us. He was willing to give up his own son, to watch his son suffer so much pain that it would kill any normal man a thousand tomes over. I am grateful to my Savior. That he was willing to suffer the pain, and be our perfect example. I am grateful that they love us enough that they would do this for us. They have given me my life, and everything that gives it meaning, purpose, and joy. They have given me so much. I could never list all of the blessings that I have, there are too many.
"Oh it is wonderful, wonderful to me."

Thanks for sharing that, Tiff. It's wonderful that you have such a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and His gospel. You are an example to me.
Your a very good and strong example to me. I love you tons. And I am very proud of you.
You are right we would have nothing without him and life would be pointless. I had never thought about how empty heaven would be without the atonement.
Hi sweetheart! I love you and you are always an example to me as well.
