Alright, I wrote an essay for the Holocaust Remembrance Project. The main goal was to win a scholarship. $10,000 or $2,500 or even $500 would have made me extremely satisfied. I didn't expect to win however, I had almost no hope I will admit, of winning any amount. And guess what...? I did not! Oh well, I tried, and I was expecting disappointment, so I'm not too crushed by it. My mom is more disappointed than I am. She has more faith in my writing abilities than I do myself. But, I shall continue applying for various scholarships, and I'm bound to win one eventually right? Any little bit will help. College isn't cheap. Actually, I read something that talked about how you shouldn't pass up a scholarship just because it is "just $500" don't just go for the big ones. Because when you're actually in college and struggling to come up with the extra money you need for supplies you're going to wish you had that extra five-hundred. I might try this one again next year though....
Now, to the main point. I may now share my poor unloved essay with you. After all, the whole point of the Project is to encourage Holocaust remembrance. I hope you enjoy it! Here is my essay-
