I was looking through some of my old papers while cleaning my room a few days ago. It's a song that my friend Megan and her mom made up for YW camp last year. I think it's cute, and thought you might too. I think It's supposed to be to the tune of "the other day I met a bear" or "sippin cider".
The cutest boy, I ever saw
Was a stripling warrior, momma's boy.
I asked him how he got so strong,
He said, "I lift weights all day long."
He asked me out, on my first date,
He picked me up at half past eight.
He had to get me home by ten,
Or my dad wouldn't let me go out again.
He had me home at a quarter to nine,
Because my nature is divine.
There was no kiss at my font door,
or I wouldn't go out with him no more.
He asked me out 45 more times,
Where we would sit and read 'Ensigns'
Then he asked me to be his wife,
So we could spend eternal life.
He took me through the temple gates,
Where we'd become eternal mates.
He married me at half past eight,
Now I can finally kiss my date!!!
Ok, not exactly how it would really be. Most people wouldn't want to go out 45 times just to read 'Ensigns", but It's still a good song in my opinion. =) And I really like the ending.

That's way cute I like it. We should sing it for fun some time. lol
Well, I guess you know that I don't agree with the temple marriage and all that... but I love the ending!
What a GREAT fun song! I wonder if she'd mind if I take it to camp this year... I'm camp director and we are supposed to come up with new camp songs to teach the others & I'm totally clueless when it comes to music! :)
