Beautiful together

Before I forget this I have to post it. One of our camp leaders told us this story at camp.

We have all heard that every snowflake is different, and it is easy to see how beautiful they are. Well, once there was a snowflake, and she was the most beautiful and perfect of all snowflakes. So as she was falling through the sky she told all of the other snowflakes to stay away from her. "It's just that I'm so perfect, and I don't want anyone of you to hit me and make me less beautiful." So the other snowflakes said "ok, well, she is perfect so we'll stay away from her." All of the other snowflakes fell into a snowbank together, and glistened and sparkled in the sun. And the most perfect snowflake fell by herself to the ground, and instantly melted and was gone.

The moral of the story is obvious. We are each beautiful on our own. And though we are all worth the same, some have been given a little more. However, that beauty won't last or do anyone any good on it's own. We need others, we need each other, to be as beautiful as we truly can. That is the beauty that the Savior wants to see. He wants us to be beautiful together, and forever.
So keep in mind, as a leader, as an individual, you can't be your best on your own.

The story is a marvelous teacher if that makes sense.
Alone we can do so little, but together we can do so much. The saying kind of relates :)
