School: 2009-2010

The first week of school is over! Yay! I have discovered that the first week is a looonnnngggg one. But it's over now, and I think for the most part I will enjoy school this year.
And just so you all know - I already think I'm going to like my AP history class. It will be challenging, but that's ok, I can handle it. And I have a good teacher who I should learn a lot from. She is interested in the subject, and she cares about the students. - My AP English class should also be great. The teacher is pretty awesome. He has a fun way of discussing things, and giving us tons of background and discussions on the books before we read them. I am trying to hurry and finish reading 'The Grapes of Wrath' now because I was too lazy to do it in the summer. - I already know that Vocal Jazz Choir is going to be super fun. There are six kids in each section (soprano, alto, tenor, and bass). So it's small, but not too small. I am friends with, or at least know, almost every single one of them, including some of my very best friends who are in it with me! It's a group of fun, and really talented people. I sing first soprano, which is a challenge because that means I have to hit all the really high notes. Time to practice! And it will take a lot of time, because Vocal Jazz does a lot, but that is part of the fun. Yay choir trips! And I am also in Acappella Choir. - My art class I am not so sure about this year. It is a small class full of kids that I do not hang out with. And most of them aren't as advanced as I am. Also for some reason the Advances Art and Painting classes got merged together for some reason . . . I don't know that it is going to be worth my time this year. - And, last but not least, seminary! I am in the smallest class. Only six kids including myself. Which is weird, because some of the other classes have 30 or almost 40. But it's ok because we are all awesome kids! (that's when a small class is a good thing). And they might decide to bring the special needs class over sometimes for us to help, because we have such a small class. Which is cool, because it will give us the opportunity to learn and do service at the same time. And this year we are studying the Book of Mormon. Which makes me happy because it is my last year, and I think it's a good way to end it. I had the Doctrine and Covenants my first year, Old Testament and New Testament my middle years, and mow the B.O.M!

So that is my school update. Hey at least I post once a month now. Haha, I am going to be spending a lot less time on the computer now too.
Now I am going to enjoy the weekend and my quadruple date tomorrow! (meaning four couples - eight people). We are going to enjoy the last of the summer weather by floating down the canal, and having dinner and a movie at Jordon's house. I'm excited. :)

Life is good everyone!

Tiff, I happen to know that you did have a ton of fun on your date, aside from getting scratched up and bumped around a little by the canal. I love you like crazy and I know that you're going to do so well this year with your school and with whatever you do. I also know you will do amazing, wonderful things in the future, even if they're just amazing and wonderful in a quiet way. I couldn't be more proud of the terrific children that Dad and I have.

Love,
Mom

Tiff, Your schedule sounds so great. Not easy, but really good. I think you are such a smartie. I think it would be a good experience if they mixed your class with the special needs classes. It sounds like a great service opportunity. I love you tons. I hope you had a wonderful time on your date. I think I'd love to float down a canal. Especially with friends!
