Tsunami Relief

     Hello everyone! I recently stumbled upon these bracelets. They are pretty simple, but they're charming and apparently pretty popular. Even famous people are buying them. The cool thing is that they are handmade in Costa Rica by a poor guy discovered by vacationers who brought a bunch back to America. They were really popular, so they decided to turn it into a business. Now they are sold all over. Part of the proceeds go to the Surfrider Foundation. There is a news story about them here.      They recently made one titled Tsunami Relief, and they're goal is to sell 1000 of them, and half of the money goes to support the victims of the Japan disaster. It's the one in the first picture. The bracelets only cost $5.00, so it's not a lot. But it's a worthy goal.
     There are also a lot of other colors. I find myself a little intriqued by them. It would be kind of cool to have a whole bunch and wear them all at the same time. People must be buying a ton of them, because they aren't at all expensive and yet they seem to be making decent profit off of them.
