PUMPKINS!

As I was sitting on my bed today after church, fasting while reading and warming up after freezing in church, I decided that I needed to go outside. Because I was sleepy and dull from lack of food, and I knew if I fell asleep I would stay asleep too long and regret it later. Also the point of fasting is to focus on feeding your spirit instead of your body, and usually going outside does me good when I am looking to do that.

Because it was so freezing I put my pajamas on under my long "gypsy" skirt and then pulled on my brown boots over some long socks. I wear those boots when I am really cold, because they are fuzzy inside and warm me right up. I also put on a sweater and scarf. Then I took the book that I got in Relief Society today and went out to read. The book is "Daughters in My Kingdom." You can tell it was put together by some lovely women, because it's visually a beautiful book, which entices me to read it.

When I went outside it was too cold for me to sit and read, so I decided that first I would walk around and get my blood flowing faster. I noticed the rotten squash plants from that darn early frost, so I went and picked the little squash and pumpkins. I moved them to our yard swing, and they looked so pretty that I took a picture with my phone. That wasn't good enough so I ran inside to get my camera.

Anyways, to get to the point of this story, I present my pumpkin photo shoot!

For those of you who don't know, I fanatically and passionately love pumpkins! Ok that may be exaggerating, but only a little. I feel pretty much the same about Autumn. I just wish the bitter, frosty Winter cold would hold off long enough for there to actually be a good Fall.

So after my picture taking and running around in my yard for a while I felt warm and refreshed.
