This is Lara, the foreign exchange student from China that my family is hosting. She has already been with us for two and a half weeks and has half a week left before going to onother part of the US.
She is a really cool girl, and we've learned a lot from her. She taught me how to say a few things in Chinese, although I can't pronounce them right.
She and her boyfriend have cooked dinner for us a couple of times, and they taught us how to make dumplings. I now love dumplings. They also taught us how to eat with chopsticks, or quides as they call them(i'm not sure if that's how you spell it) and it's much more fun than using a fork. The Cinese believe that eating with chopsticks makes you smarter, and use them for almost evey meal.
I'll miss her when she leaves, but we'll keep in touch. And I'll get a chance to see her again, because next year I'm going to China! I better learn to speek some Chinese, and quick.
