My family is going on a small camping trip today, and I decided to do a quick post before heading to the place where I won't have technology. I look forward to just relaxing there. I plan on reading, napping, maybe drawing, and taking pictures of every pretty thing I see.
I was called into the primary in my ward. Today was my first day (although two weeks ago I substituted for the nursery). I taught the 8-11 year olds. It was a class of an 8 & 9 year old girl, a 12 year old girl, and three extra naughty boys around the age of 10. Right at the beginning I thought about separating all of the boys. I should have followed my instincts, haha. Next time I will know. I'm pretty sure they tried to at least hold a little still. And I did manage to keep there attention when I was telling about how in England Elder Woodruff managed to convert the police officer who was sent by a local minister after preaching for one hour, as well as two spies sent by the same minister.
Later during singing time I was happy that I actually knew the songs they sang. And I was impressed by 8 year old Jaime's fantastic little singing voice. I wish I had that little girls talent! We also talked some more about missionary work and drew pictures/wrote letters for our wards only current missionary who is in Australia.
AND my beautiful friend is home for two weeks from Hawaii and I got to actually see and hug her today!! We are going to have to figure out something fun to do when I get home. :)
Oh and I figured out a brilliant way to put my hair up. I twist it into 2 buns twisted right next to each other. It works perfectly for my thick hair.
All of you have a wonderful Sunday.
